Ammann E-Drive Machines Featured at Executive Hire Show

Ammann’s electric-drive machines, including the recently launched eARX 26-2 Light Tandem Roller, will be featured.

Ammann’s commitment to the rental industry and sustainable jobsites will be on full display during the Executive Hire Show, held 8-9 February in Coventry, England.

Ammann’s electric-drive machines, including the recently launched eARX 26-2 Light Tandem Roller, will be featured.

“This is the first time Ammann, as a manufacturer, has reserved exhibition space at EHS,” said Jo Adams, Machine Sales Manager for Ammann UK Ltd. “Our presence at the Coventry Arena will give customers, and end users alike, a chance to see the uniquely all-electric tandem roller in the popular 2.5t, 120cm category.”

The eARX 26-2 features a fully electric drive that can operate for an extended period without recharging.

The absence of a combustion engine makes the eARX 26-2 extremely quiet during operation. Sound levels reaching the operation station are 46% less than with a diesel version.

The innovative powertrain concept eliminates almost all hydraulic components. The ecological impact is also lessened – and total ownership costs are significantly reduced – by replacing the diesel engine and its cooling system.

Important features, besides the electric drive, are the roller’s design, drum construction, operator platform and engine compartment.

Other e-drive machines also will be available for review at the fair. They include the Ammann eATR 68 Rammer and the Ammann eAPF 12/40 Forward Moving Vibratory Plate.

“With zero emissions at the forefront of future projects, we will also be showing for the first time in the UK our light equipment, battery-powered compaction machines,” Adams said. “These machines show Ammann’s commitment to eco-friendly jobsites.”
