From Cornwall to Coventry: The Road to the 2026 Executive Hire Show Begins

What a way to shake the January blues by starting the year visiting amazing hire companies in Cornwall!

The Seaside town of Newquay is home to a great independent hire company in Hutton Hire. Pete and Simon (Pictured above) are regular attendees, and this year is planning to be no different. They will be looking for some great deals on the day with many of their favourite suppliers.

It wasn't just the regular attendees I visited. Alliance Tool Hire South West, with a head office based in Truro and four other depots around Cornwall, has never attended the event before, and Joe (Pictured) and his colleagues are incredibly excited to go to their first ever Executive Hire Show. Joe is particularly looking forward to attending the evening event, wanting to make some contacts in the industry with suppliers and other independent hire companies alike. He may consume a couple of beers as well, while he's at it.

I also visited Tim at Cholwill Plant and Carl at Waters Equipment Hire and Repair, who have also never attended the event before. They are old friends, one focusing his business on plant hire, the other on Tool. Both are planning their first-ever trip to the Coventry Building Society Arena.

And finally, I met with James at Forent, based in the market town of South Molton. He has been running a van hire business for many years but bought the equipment fleet off a tool hire company based locally when they decided to sell up in 2024, and is avidly learning all he can about our corner of the hire world. James did not know about the Executive Hire Show prior to my visit, but thinks it would be a great idea to attend and learn even more about this new industry he has entered.

All in all, it was a great few days promoting a fantastic event to regulars and hopeful newcomers. Looking at the interest we at Altrad Belle are receiving, I expect this year to be the biggest attendance yet!
