The Executive Hire Show 2019 Passionate Hirer Awards

We are just weeks away from the annual Executive Hire Show 2019 which is taking place at its Ricoh Arena Coventry home on 6 & 7 February 2019. The Passionate Hirer Awards have become an integral part of the EHS and are presented during the 'After Show Networking Party' following the opening day of the event (6th February)

The annual Passionate Hire Awards were created back in 2008 - now in their 11th year - the nominees are chosen by the EHS team driving 1000's of miles and visiting 100's of hirers throughout the UK & Ireland in the lead up to the Show as part of the Executive Hire Show's National Visitor Campaign.

Executive Hire Show Director, Craig Donovan said, "There is a significant difference with the Passionate Hirer Awards in comparison to the majority of other award processes in the fact that we do not rely (or except) self-nomination and voting. It is unique and all nominees are comprehensively and thoroughly analysed and scored on over 30 aspects of their business, including credit checks and mystery shops, using a selected hirer judging panel."

This year's Awards will have two categories  - the first being the 'Outstanding Multi-Depot Hire Company' Award which is being sponsored by the UK's largest working construction exhibition in 2019, Plantworx, who is also a debut exhibitor at the EHS. The second is the 'Outstanding Single Depot Hire Company' Award,  sponsored by Mace Industries, portable conveyor manufacturers and EHS long-term exhibitors.

Commenting on sponsoring the Passionate Hirer award, Plantworx marketing manager, Jeff Schofield said, "The hire sector is very important to the success of the Plantworx construction exhibition. We very much value visitors from hire companies to the event where they can see new innovations and machines being demonstrated, from exhibitors who perhaps did not exhibit at the EHS.

Sponsoring this award gives us the opportunity to promote our event to hirers and also support the Executive Hire Show which we hold in high esteem. The Awards recognise companies that go above and beyond to offer an exemplary service and Plantworx is proud to support this ethos."

Luke Mace, sales director, Mace Industries also commented on sponsoring the Single Depot Hire Award, he said, "Mace Industries support this award as we believe in what this award stands for - which is offering excellence in our field of business.

It’s also a way for us to say thank you to an industry that has been part of our business since the beginning. Since the late 80's when Mace Industries was a fledgling business, working out of a potting shed in Bracknell, the hire industry has been an important customer of ours.

Whether the winner of this award is a customer of Mace Industries or not (if not, we urge you to come to stand C90 to remedy that!) we want to say thank you and well done for your continued standard of excellence."

Last year's winner in the Outstanding Single Depot Hire Company category was Clem Jacob Hire Centre. Established in 2006, it has become a major presence serving the area around its Waterford location and throughout the south east of Ireland.

Newcastle-upon-Tyne based Lord Hire Centres was the Winner in the 2018 Outstanding Multi-Depot Hire Company category. The business has nine depots serving the north-east of England and high standards are maintained at all its locations.
