Yanmar Compact Equipment Europe (CEE) has heralded this year’s Executive Hire Show a resounding success. The acclaimed manufacturer welcomed numerous visitors on stand throughout the two-day event, which took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry between 5-6 February.
The star attraction on stand was Yanmar’s ViO17 mini excavator. Compact, efficient and productive, the zero tail swing machine is a leader in its class. A variable undercarriage (950mm-1,280mm) maximises stability by adapting itself to the space available, while the permanently fixed, hinged blade extensions are easy to fold-out.
Powered by a 3-cylinder, 14hp Yanmar 3TNV70-XBV diesel engine, operators benefit from 52Nm torque (@1,600rpm), 15.2 kN digging force (bucket) and travelling speeds of up to 4.3kmh. Renowned for its clean and quiet profile, the next-generation engine also boasts reduced emissions, reduced noise, improved starting and meets the latest emissions compliance standards.
Adoption of Yanmar’s VIPPS® three-pump variable flow hydraulic system ensures maximum working speed, as well as smooth, simultaneous operation of all functions, even when travelling. Alongside reduced fuel consumption, this increases cycle productivity and minimises exhaust emissions.
Commenting on the success of the show, David Cockayne, UK and Ireland sales manager at Yanmar CEE, said: “Attracting rental professional from across the UK and Europe, the Executive Hire Show is a key event in the compact plant calendar. We were delighted with the response to showcasing our ViO17 mini excavator – the interest on stand was very positive.
“The UK construction market remains key for Yanmar and we are already planning additional investment and expansion over the coming years. With improved access to our portfolio, the industry is in a perfect position to understand what makes our equipment unique.”
