EHS2025 will be the first time SANY Road Machinery UK & Ireland have exhibited at the show and another first, which will be on stand A2, is the new SANY STR50E light tandem roller which is the first, in its weight class, powered by a battery and with fully electric drive and vibration.

When designing the SANY STR50E light tandem roller there was only one thing in the SANY teams mind, to build the first battery powered, fully electric, 4.5t roller in the world.

They accomplished this by adopting the latest battery technology which utilises a large, Blue Cobalt free, 60kWh Lithium-iron-phosphate battery sourced from CATL one of the world’s largest battery manufacturers.

The fully electric drive and vibration system of the STR50E makes it highly efficient and allows for energy recuperation when changing from forward to backward movement and when slowing down, like a Formula 1 car!

The large battery pack also ensures that the STR50E-10 can run for many hours, 4-6, in real world conditions before it will need charging by a standard fast or slow charger.

Along with the state-of-the-art power system the STR50E also has an ergonomically designed operator’s platform, which allows full side to side movement with swivel action, for maximum visibility and the two electronic control levers maximise operational flexibility.

The STR50E is a significant first step in ZERO tail pipe emission plant from SANY Road Machinery with other machines arriving during 2025 and follows on from the well-received battery powered SANY SY19E and SANY SY215E excavators.
