Known internationally for compact crushing machines, Dragon Equipment is taking things to the next level with the launch of the CR450 Diesel Crusher. The first diesel-only Crusher from the British company, the CR450 Diesel Crusher is designed and built at their head office and production facility in Suffolk, UK.
The newest addition to the range of compact crushers is powered by the Kubota D722 3-cylinder water-cooled 19hp diesel engine. The higher torque provided by this engine enables the CR450 Crusher to power through even the hardest of materials at a higher speed for a sustained period, dramatically increasing the output. Combine that with the large 33-litre fuel tank, and the machine can keep crushing in excess of twelve hours.
The Kubota D722 diesel engine is highly regarded within the hire industry and complies with EPA/CARB tier 4 emissions regulations.
Featuring a 460mm x 205mm mouth aperture, the CR450 Crusher’s Hardox jaw is the largest in the range to date. Its funnel is perfectly designed to be loaded by a mini excavator, helping operators to handle larger jobs quickly and efficiently, increasing productivity. The CR450 also features a remote-control option, enabling excavator drivers to operate the machine from the comfort and safety of the cab.
With a total weight of under 1,500Kgs the CR450 can be easily loaded onto a trailer with an excavator to minimise transportation cost. Particularly useful for those jobs where the machines are used in partnership to maximise the daily work rate.
The CR450 Crusher features all-terrain tracks and an increased width of 970mm, significantly improving its onsite stability for the increased workload – but remaining compact enough to give the machine a real advantage on tough-to-reach or more demanding sites.
Retaining all the users’ best loved features from the rest of the range, the CR450 Diesel Crusher includes the instant jaw adjustment for crush size from 3-55mm, anti-stall and the auto reverse for trouble-free hires. Not forgetting the Dragon-designed fold up conveyor for ease of storage and transportation.
The machine was officially launched at the 2024 Executive Hire Show but will be making its first physical appearance at the 2025 show! Find out more about the CR450 Diesel Crusher here.
