Venue
Set within a site covering more than 40 acres, the Ricoh Arena
is unlike any other development of its kind in the UK. With
its state-of-the-art conference, banqueting, exhibition, hotel
and sports facilities, the multi-purpose complex has already
won awards for its design.
Based at the centre of the country, this unique development
is within two hours drive of almost 75 per cent of the English
population. It is also set at the heart of the motorway network
and less than 30 minutes away from two major train stations
and international airports. There are more than 2,000 free parking
spaces at the Arena for the Show.
Since opening for business in the summer of 2005, the £113m
development has proved a huge success attracting more than 500,000
visitors to a wide range of events and activities in the first
six months.
The 6,000sq metre Jaguar Exhibition Halls within the Ricoh are
as versatile as the multi-purpose Arena itself. The venue is
already proving to be a popular destination for exhibitions
hosting 12 major events in the first six months and the column-free
halls are designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding
exhibitor.
The venue offers a modern facility which is fully air conditioned
and heated, with a wide selection of food and drink facilities
available, including the destination restaurant, Singers, and
various other facilities at the newly opened Isle of Capri Casino.
