Executive Hire Show › New Product Zone NEW PRODUCT ZONE ‘FINALISTS’ CHOSEN Twelve exhibitors have been selected as 'Finalists' to appear in the New Product Zone at the Executive Hire Show 2009. The successful entrants are: Dust Control - D C AirCube 2000; EHS International - Zeus electric heater; Flex - Terso cordless cleaning machine; Husqvarna - K3000 Wet cutting kit; ITW - Paslode IM90i cordless gas nailer; JCB - HM25LV hydraulic breaker; Nilfisk-ALTO - Attix 50-21 XC vacuum cleaner/automatic dust extractor; Oswald Record - Sullair PAC80 compressor and tools; Pike Signals - Xlite traffic lights; Probst Handling - Trans Mobil installation carrier; Taylor Construction Plant - Ecolite P lighting tower; and Turner Access - Betaguard collective protection system. The 12 products will be displayed in the New Product Zone, which is sponsored by Speedy Hire, and centrally located at the front of the exhibition hall. Hirers visiting the Show will be invited to vote for their favourite product. The winning exhibitor will be announced during the event and will win the Speedy Award for Most Innovative Product at the Show. Each exhibitor was invited to submit details of products to be considered for inclusion in the Zone. To qualify, they needed to show clear advantages through new technology, cost-effectiveness and ease of servicing, and demonstrate how users can work more efficiently and in compliance with appropriate legislation. In total, 41 submissions were received. The selection of the 'Finalists' was made by an independent panel comprising Speedy Hire's Senior Supply Chain Manager Andy Connor, Richard Coffey, MD of Supply UK Hire Shops, Ian Weston, Operations Director of Hire Station, Thomas Smith, Director of Smiths Equipment Hire, and Executive Hire News Editor, Alan Guthrie.
