Executive
Hire Show Marie Curie Cancer

Care and the Show

Marie Curie Cancer Care is the chosen charity of the Executive Hire Show, and this year, with thanks to visitors and exhibitors alike, we raised £81,695!

The Executive Hire Show team donated £5,000

The Executive Hire Show kick started the fund-raising efforts back in October 2007 with a pledge to donate £20 for each stand up to 15m squared, and £30 for each stand larger than 15m squared. This money, together with other initiatives and donations, meant that we were able to present Marie Curie with a cheque for £5,000 on behalf of the Executive Hire Show plus an additional £2,000 from EHN at the Executive Hire Party (held on the first evening of the Show).

One of the highlights of the Party, sponsored by Terex, was the charity auction. We had some fantastic lots donated, ranging from a holiday to a Tuscan villa to a Marie Curie Cancer Care branded Terex mini dumper, and thanks to everyone’s generosity on the night, the auction raised a total of £62,065!

So whether you made a personal donation, bid for or donated a prize in the auction, or put a pound in ‘Daffy’s’ bucket at the show, thank you to everyone for contributing to such a fantastic cause and raising a significant amount of money.

Executive Hire News donated £2,000

John Conteh, ex world champion boxer, entertained our party guests in style whilst helping to raise money for Marie Curie.

Terex, who sponsored the Executive Hire Party, kindly donated this HD1000 mini dumper for the auction.
