Don’t get stumped – the new ‘Stump Beaver’ from Geko Engineering – the perfect solution for landscapers, builders – and a very useful addition to your hire fleet!

Geko Engineering is making its debut at the Executive Hire show and is exhibiting its new ‘Stump Grinder’

Geko Engineering is making its debut at the Executive Hire show and has told the EHS team that the company is both excited and proud to be exhibiting its new ‘Stump Grinder’ at the show – which has been designed and manufactured in the UK – marking the first in a range of equipment specifically designed and manufactured for smaller powered plant.

Since 2003 Geko Engineering Ltd, has consulted with various companies to design and develop bespoke tools and equipment – Rio Tinto and UK Coal are amongst the company’s prestigious client list.

Early last year, following extensive testing, and with special focus on the hire industry, Geko Engineering introduced its new “Stump Beaver” tree stump grinder attachment which is suitable for use with most micro and mini excavators.

This ingenious bit of new kit really fills a gap in the small plant and tool hire market

This ingenious bit of new kit really fills a gap in the small plant and tool hire market. Aimed at landscapers and builders the stump beaver is a serious competitor to walk behind stump grinders, which Geko says, offers the user benefits of swift, safe, effortless and vibration free operation.

The nifty grinder makes light work of the heftiest of stumps with the residue being totally recycled into the soil – so no waste, no skip – therefore no extra costs are incurred – just a stump free zone!

Graham Dewhurst, Geko’s managing director and the brains behind the stump beaver said, “Hire companies including MTS Nationwide appreciate the heavy duty construction of the machine and yet the compact package size, makes the “Stump Beaver” easy to store and transport.

Low maintenance and depreciation are good news for hire companies whilst incremental excavator hires improve returns.”

Dewhurst concluded “The plant sales dealerships who have added the Stump beaver to their product ranges have reported that sales to-date have been brisk with excellent customer feedback from end users.”
