At the Executive Hire Show, MCS, the hire management software specialists, will launch a .NET version of the market-leading hire management solution, MCS-rm, along with exciting developments in mobile technology.

Guy van der Knaap, CEO at MCS, sheds more light on this new product launch: “This represents a significant move forward from a technology perspective and shows that we continue to be software visionaries in our specialist rental software field. It also demonstrates the significant investment we are making in our products going forward and our commitment to keeping our technology – and our customers – at the forefront of the industry.”

MCS unveils new .NET version and mobile technology at the 2012 show.

He continues: “Our software has always been very intuitive to use, but the move to the .NET platform makes it even more user-friendly, with fully customisable interfaces. With the .NET platform powering the technology, our solutions can be deployed quickly and securely and there are benefits to be reaped from improvements in application performance and programmer productivity. At the same time, this latest version offers all the wide-ranging functionality of the MCS-rm and is, as always, supported by some of the most knowledgeable staff in the industry.”

MCS will also be demonstrating functionality such as the MCS-rm customer web portal, barcode technology, improved reporting through a new key performance indicator report, and a powerful mobile customer relationship management solution (MCS CRM Mobile) that provides instant real-time access to the MCS CRM software from a range of portable devices.

Commenting on the increasing importance of mobile technology in the hire industry, MCS Sales Manager Nick Thomson says: “Hire businesses will be able to empower their sales staff to view, amend and update customer, contact, opportunity and equipment information, proactively respond to requests, and add notes and tasks – all on the move. Once again, our clear product vision means that we are leading the mobile solutions field.

The coming months will see other mobile developments, aimed at further improving business functions such as service delivery and customer-facing operations.”
